Welcome
Based upon the scriptural mandate of caring for widows, the goal and mission of “Sing for Joy” is to offer widows safe, independent retirement living with unlimited opportunities to serve in ministry.
Mission
There are 12 million widows living in the U.S. and over half of those earn an average income of $550.00 a month or less. Many are destitute, lonely, feel unloved, and forgotten by society.
The Sing for Joy Widow’s Home ministry, on the beautiful campus of Lighthouse Christian Camp, is based upon a scriptural mandate of caring for widows.
“Honor widows that are widows indeed.” I Timothy 5:3
Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.” Isaiah 1:17
The goal and mission of the Sing for Joy Widows’ Home ministry is to provide the widow with a stable, secure, and enjoyable home with unlimited opportunity to give and receive loving care to and from staff, volunteers, children and other widows in residence at Sing for Joy and Lighthouse Christian Camp.

Encouragers
What a tremendous encouragement and inspiration our widows have been to the
children, staff and adults who are involved in Lighthouse Christian Camp Ministries.
Hebrews 6:10 states: “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” It’s obvious that the work these ladies perform as they minister is truly a “labour of love”.
